Other notes: Native southeastern MN oak that is less susceptible to oak wilt than red/pin oaks, and more tolerant of poor drainage than most oaks. Commonly found is moist bottomlands or along river banks but also grows well in urban settings where compaction is present. It has a rounded top with an open crown.
