Other notes: The redbud is an ornamental tree with a show stopping display of magenta pink flowers emerging in late spring. Dark green heart shaped leaves persist through the summer changing to a brilliant yellow color in the fall. This understory tree does best in part shade to full sun and prefers moist, well-drained soil.
