Bur Oak
Quercus macrocarpa
#10 Container
Bur Oak is native to Minnesota. Its corky bark provides interest in the winter landscape, and the acorns are important to wildlife. This majestic tree can develop strong branch structure, even with very little formative pruning. But plant well back from the street – bur oak does not tolerate road salt spray.
