Other notes: The concolor fir is a majestic evergreen with soft needles and uniform pyramidal form. It is considered one of the best firs to plant in our area and makes a great specimen or wind break tree. Large cones grow upright and mature to purple in mid to late summer. Some winter protection is recommended in windy or exposed sites.
